Dear Roadrunner Families,

We are excited to announce that beginning Wednesday, October 1, JDA will begin offering Supper Service in the cafeteria. Supper is free for all students, just like breakfast.

Here’s what you need to know:

Time & Location: When the dismissal bell rings at 3:37 p.m., all students staying after school will go to the cafeteria and sit by their activity (Athletics, Tutoring, Boys & Girls Club, etc.).

Meal Service: Tables will be released by an administrator to enter the serving line. Meals are designed to be quick and easy to eat.

Yondr Pouches: Pouches will be unlocked as students exit the service line.

Walkers & Parent Pickup:

Walkers may choose to eat supper before leaving campus.

Parent pickup students may eat supper before leaving, but we ask parents of those eating to arrive closer to 3:50 p.m. Parents of students not eating supper should be in line by 3:37 p.m. Make sure to communicate with your student whether they intend to eat supper well in advance.

Bus Riders: At this time, due to buses running additional routes after dropping JDA students home, bus riders will not be able to participate in supper service. We are working with the district to explore possible solutions for the future.

For supervision and safety, all students staying after school will remain in the cafeteria until supper service ends.

⚡ Our Goal: By October 10, supper will run from 3:38–4:00 p.m., so that after-school activities (including tutorials) can begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. Please allow us a week and a half to iron out procedures as we get everyone on the same page.

👉 We strongly encourage students who are staying after school to take advantage of this meal. Fed students learn better, perform better, and are more ready to focus in their after-school programs.

Thank you for your support as we launch this new opportunity for our Roadrunners!

Parent Tip of the Week ✨

☔ Rainy Days – Unless weather is dangerous (official warning), dismissal will remain normal. Each dismissal spot has a covered awning. Students are encouraged to wait under the awning, but they will have to step out to get to vehicles, and we do not force them to stay under the awning. Please send your student with a mini umbrella or small poncho for rainy days.

🪪 Student IDs – IDs must be visible every day. Help your student create a routine for keeping up with their ID.

Pro tip: add an AirTag to the lanyard (and even their locker key) for extra peace of mind!

We appreciate your partnership in helping our Roadrunners stay safe and prepared! 💙❤️
